What is English Test A1 / ESOL Entry Level 1 / A1 CEFR / GESE Grade 2?
English Test A1 (also known as A1 CEFR or ESOL Entry Level 1 or GESE Grade 2) is must for the applicants seeking for spouse visa. ESOL stands for 'English for Speakers of Other Languages', CEFR stands 'Common European Framework Reference for Languages' & GESE stands for 'Graded Examinations in Spoken English'. This test has only two modules "Speaking and Listening".
Please note that there is no need to pass 'Life in the UK Test' for spouse visa.
